The Irishman in Athens

IMG_5743.jpg

I met this Irishman in Athens as I was walking home one day. He was sitting in front of an open doorway (his house? just random?) selling little wire bicycle sculptures for 1 euro each. The cup he was holding was filled with coffee, not others’ spare change. He came to Greece 30 years ago and hasn’t left since. Though, when I asked him if he liked it here in Greece, his words were: “There’s too many Greeks here.”
